On Wednesday 18th November all of the children participated in a sponsored run in aid of the Renewed Hope Trust’s Winter Night Project. Years 1 and 2, Years 3 and 4 and Years 5 and 6 ran together in their respective phase groups, completing laps of the school field.
Year R participated too running laps of the playground. The children all made a super effort to run as many laps as they could in the time given in order to raise money for this most worthwhile charity. The Winter Night Project runs during the coldest months of the year, from December through March, and is hosted by various churches across the Reigate and Banstead and Tandridge areas.
With the help and dedication of a large team of trained volunteers, they provide a warm evening meal, the hand of friendship, a safe place to sleep and a lovely breakfast the following morning. Every penny raised goes directly to helping homeless people in our local.
Thank you so much to all of your who have donated so far through our school online payment system Scopay, we have raised in excess of £200 so far which is fantastic – thank you! If you haven’t had chance to donate it’s not too late and can be done through Scopay, we will be sending the Renewed Hope Trust the cheque just before we break up for the Christmas holidays. Thank you so much for all your support – we will let you know the final total we raise!
