Here at Nutfield Church we have some beautiful grounds! One of the key areas of our Curriculum Model is Outdoor Learning. As part of this we have developed a weekly cycle of caring for our garden and surrounding areas.
We invited older children to apply to become Trinity Garden leaders and the successful applicants, alongside another group of EYFS environment helpers help keep things ‘ship shape’. The Trinity Gardens program offers these older children opportunities to develop their leadership skills as they help link our outdoor learning to our six core Christian values: Community, Peace, Wisdom, Hope, Dignity and Joy. Our aim for Trinity Gardens is very much focussed on our aim that all our adults and children flourish and live life in all it’s fullness as they care for the world around them.
We were blessed that Mrs Fleming has offered her gardening expertise to volunteer as our adult leader each week. We welcome our parents and families to get involved too! If you would like to come in and help out, sessions are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the afternoons. Just let the office or Mrs Fleming know you are interested in coming along by contacting the school office.
