Over the past few weeks, Year 6 have been learning about micro-organisms in Science. We have focused on bacteria, mould and viruses.
The children have investigated what mould is and how it grows best by placing bread in different bags and leaving then in different conditions across the classroom.
They found that the mould grew best in warm environments. The children then investigated how many bacteria were on Miss Mitchell’s hands before and after washing them and how many were on a toilet seat.
