Year One Love Project

This term the classes have been thinking about how they can show love to each other and to the world. Each of the classes were asked to think of what they would like to do for their own, individual Love Project.

Year One had a very special idea! On Tuesday 27th January, they decided to invite their Grandparent or special person to a special afternoon tea. Year 1 entertained their special guests by singing, dancing and playing instruments; whilst some Year 5 volunteers served the tea and cakes. The children performed beautifully and showed immaculate behaviour (they were a real credit to our school and to their parents).

Thank you to all the parents who provided food and drink for the tea; the Year 5 volunteers who helped serve our guests and all the extra adults for being so efficient and helpful.

Lastly, thank you to all the guests who managed to attend despite the weather (the children really valued you being there).

We hope everyone had a brilliant time.

In our R.E. lesson this week, the children really impressed Miss Cook with their amazing ‘Caring for Creation Charter’. We learnt that God told Adam and Eve to look after his creation and then thought how we could help to look after his creation. The super creative ideas all came from the children.
